Foster families automatically can adopt the grey they foster
Hi Everyone,
I’m looking for my forever home and I want to tell you a little about myself. My racing name was Kick a Little but I go by Shep. I am a handsome red fawn boy turning two on 1/10/2023. I had 4 maiden races and didn’t do very well so they decided to retire me from racing so I’m now looking for a nice bed and or couch to spend the rest of my likely 11 to 12 years. I have been in my foster home since 11/11/2022 and my foster family says I am a very loving and playful boy.
I am living with another greyhound. My foster home has a fenced yard so with all this cold weather I have not had the opportunity to go outside on lead. We really don’t know if I have separation anxiety because my foster dad works from home. At first I didn’t want to go into my crate but now I go in when there’s a need for it. I like to carry my toys around the house and chew on them, (remember I’m young so I do like to chew) so I need lots of toys and appropriate things to chew. I only had two accidents right after my neuter surgery but now I no longer need to wear my bellyband. Yippee!!
I do love attention!! My foster dad says I do this really cute thing, I like to gently put my mouth over his wrist and lead him to my bed with me. I can also now go easily up and down stairs. I don’t like other dogs sometimes but I recently went to my first meet and greet and did a greyt job hanging around with at least five other dogs coming and going. I have not been cat tested yet. I am a very curious boy but still a puppy at heart and have lots of energy so I do love to eat!!
After reading about me do you think you could be my forever home?
