Foster families automatically can adopt the grey they foster
My name is Mary Kay! I am a loving and beautiful 2 year old lady that is very energetic, loves playing and follows my foster parents wherever they want to go. My squeaky toys are my favorite and will play with all of them, all day long. I get the zoomies quite often and absolutely thrive in my fenced backyard. My record high for running circles in the yard is 15 in a row! I also do very well on walks in the neighborhood and park.
I have two sisters at my foster home, a Border Collie mix who is around 10 years old, and another greyhound who just turned 3. I was very uneasy and timid around them the first day, but after that we have become best friends! We play with one another and go everywhere together. I have also been around a cat and we got along well.
My foster dad works from home and I love laying at his side while he works. If my foster parents do chores around the house, I am right by their side lending a helpful paw. Stairs are not an issue at all!
I do have a few things that I am working on. I do great in my crate, but I do have separation anxiety and will bark/whine when my foster parents leave the house (since I love them so much). But I do stop after a while. I also am unsure in new situations, new dogs or when I go into public. I occasionally show my teeth or snip at other dogs if we are unsure of one another but over time we all get along.
My meals are a highlight of my day and will let you know when it is time to eat in the morning and evening. I do not like other dogs in my food bowel and have known to be aggressive towards them if they get near while I have food.
I am a very fast learner and respond to my name and commands very well. I am very playful, energetic and have a heart made of gold!
